QPR confirm Neil Warnock has not resigned as manager
Neil Warnock Warnock has won seven promotions as a manager
QPR have quashed speculation that manager Neil Warnock has resigned from his position at Loftus Road.
The 62-year-old guided the club to promotion to the Premier League in May as they won the Championship title.
But there has been constant speculation that Rangers are considering the appointment of a big-name manager.
A statement read: "The club would like to make it clear that Neil Warnock has not resigned from his post and is continuing to work hard."
The latest uncertainty was fuelled by Peterborough director of football Barry Fry. He claimed that Warnock had been unable to persuade striker Craig Mackail-Smith of his long-term future as they discussed a potential transfer.
Fry told the Mirror: "Craig met Neil Warnock and was impressed with him.
"But he wanted assurances that Neil would still be manager at the start of the season and didn't get them."
The QPR statement continued: "The club is aware of rumours circulating today with regards to the future of manager Neil Warnock.
"We would once again advise QPR supporters to ignore idle speculation and reiterate that news is only official once it appears via our communication channels."
